Dr. McSpadden was born in Dallas and raised in Sunnyvale, TX. He has small-town values and big-city experience. He received a biomedical science degree at Texas A&M University and earned a DO degree from Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine.
He then completed a five-year Orthopedic Surgery residency at a Level I Trauma center in Toledo, OH. He used his elective months to pursue additional training under some of the country’s best in their fields, including joint reconstruction with Kirby Hitt, MD, and orthopaedic trauma with Alan Jones, MD.
Dr. McSpadden has a broad scope of practice including joint reconstruction, fracture care, arthroscopic treatment of sports injuries, and hand and foot surgery. He has been trained in minimally invasive anterior hip replacement, as well as robotic-assisted knee and hip reconstruction.
Dr. McSpadden believes in treating the patient as a whole, working with the patient and the patient’s family to collectively come up with the best treatment plan.
In his free time, Dr. McSpadden stays physically active through running and weight lifting, and he enjoys spending quality time with his loving wife and three children, as well as dabbling in ice cream making.
