Tricia Kot: A new aortic valve put my heart back in shape.

Tricia Kot has a strenuous job working with animals at a zoo. But a heart condition called aortic valve stenosis caused her to experience shortness of breath and extreme fatigue. Her cardiologist referred Tricia to a Baylor Medical Center, where Tricia underwent aortic valve replacement, a procedure to replaced her diseased aortic valve with an artificial valve. Four days later, she went home. After eight weeks, she began cardiac rehabilitation to rebuild her strength and endurance. "The Baylor staff was wonderful. They were very attentive and supported me throughout the process. With my new heart valve, I feel as good as new."
