John Edmonson: Colon cancer's tough. Baylor Scott & White Health is tougher.

John Edmonson's battle with colon cancer taught him the importance of getting checked. "I was scheduled for a colonoscopy at 50, but I backed out," he admits. Four years passed before he had the test. "If I'd gone the first time, they might have found polyps, instead of a tumor," says John. Because the cancer had spread into his liver, two surgeons teamed up for a five-hour procedure. "I think Baylor Scott & White Health saved my life," says John. "They gave me a second chance."
