Obstetric (OB) and Neonatal Intensive Care Services (NICU)
Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Carrollton will no longer offer obstetric (OB) and neonatal intensive care services (NICU). The last day of scheduled deliveries will be January 24, 2018, and the OB and NICU service line will be closed, effective January 31, 2018.
We are proud of the many years we have provided safe, high-quality care to mothers and babies in the Carrollton community. With five other hospitals within a 10-mile radius that provide obstetrical care, this service will remain readily accessible for growing families in the area.
Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Carrollton will continue providing exceptional care for the women in our community by offering:
- Gynecological care and related surgical services such as hysterectomy and other laparoscopic and minimally invasive procedures
- Women’s imaging, including mammography and bone density testing
- Breast cancer surgery and comprehensive treatment of breast disease
- Treatment for endometriosis and urinary incontinence
Patients who are scheduled to undergo an OB-related procedure at our hospital after the department closure should contact their OB to facilitate a transfer to a nearby facility of their choice.
