We care for individuals with problems affecting their memory, language and thinking that began before the age of 65.

Neurology services
Baylor Scott & White Cognitive and Behavioral Neurology Associates offers expertise and treatment options conveniently located near you.
We offer comprehensive care, diagnosis, and management of progressive cognitive and behavioral impairments.
Our complete clinical evaluation usually consists of at least two visits with scheduled tests in between the two appointments.
The scheduled tests may include:
- Neuropsychological assessment
- Structural or functional brain imaging
- Other diagnostic tests.
Once the evaluation is complete, the referring clinician will be sent a consultation report.
Frequently asked questions about neuropsychological assessment

What is the purpose of a neuropsychological assessment?
- To determine cognitive strengths and weaknesses, with suggestions for compensatory strategies if appropriate.
- To help confirm diagnosis .
- Is it normal aging? Does the patient have signs of dementia and if so, what type and how severe?
- To assist with treatment recommendations and intervention planning.
- To establish a baseline from which to document and track possible changes over time.

What can I expect during the neuropsychological assessment?
- Completely noninvasive. Primarily paper and pencil testing with some computerized testing added depending on the purpose of the evaluation.

Pay by mail
To ensure that your payment is correctly applied to your account, detach the slip from your Baylor Scott & White billing statement and return the slip with your payment. If paying by check or money order, include your account number on the check or money order.
Please mail the payment to the address listed on your statement.

Payments to HTPN can be made over the phone with our automated phone payment system 24 hours a day, seven days a week. All payments made via the automated phone payment system will post the next business day. Please call 1.866.377.1650.
If you need to speak to someone about a bill from a Baylor Scott & White Hospital, our Customer Service department is available to take payments over the phone from Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM and can be reached at 1.800.994.0371.
