Couplet Care

After delivery, mothers and babies are cared for together in our Couplet Care environment. Babies remain with their mothers in this family-centered unit, receiving their nursing care together, promoting education and building confidence for new mothers.

Texas Ten Step Designation

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – College Station has received Texas Ten Step Program facility designation for improving the health of newborns and infants. This program encourages breastfeeding as the preferred method of feeding for newborns and infants.

Baylor Scott & White – College Station is a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This designation means our NICU can provide advanced life-support services and technologies for premature and seriously ill newborn babies. ​

In addition to the advanced equipment to treat newborns in the NICU, we have specialized educational materials and dedicated staff to help you understand your new baby's unique health needs.

NicView camera

Family-centered care is our priority. Our NICU provides the NicView camera system that allows parents, family and friends to view their newborn baby in real time through a secure online portal.
