Because hair grows in cycles, only the portion of hair that is above the skin's surface can be targeted by the laser during each treatment. We recommend an initial round of four to eight treatments for each area, which can be spaced between four and eight weeks apart. You can expect some re-growth that can be treated with periodic touch-up visits.
The laser works by emitting a specialized pulse light that is absorbed by the melanin, or color, in a strand of hair. The laser heats the hair in its follicle, destroying the hair at its root without damage to of the surrounding skin.
