The Baylor Motion and Sports Performance Center diagnoses pain associated with orthopedic problems
We utilize high-speed cameras to record a patient's movement from different angles. The views are then combined and sent to a bank of computers that create numerical measurements of the movement. These measurements allow doctors to more closely diagnose pain associated with orthopedic problems.
For example, pain felt in the low back during walking may be caused by a problem in the knee or hip. Such close diagnosis can decrease the length of treatment and help to eliminate pain more quickly. The center has also been named as a high-performance testing center for US Track & Field.
The Baylor Motion and Sports Performance Center in Dallas is located on the second floor of the Baylor Tom Landry Fitness Center at Baylor University Medical Center, part of Baylor Scott & White Health.
