Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Lake Pointe is expanding to meet the needs of the community. Construction of the three floor tower will allow services like post-partum, NICU, and well-baby nursery departments to be moved to the new patient tower and be housed on the same floor. Two, 16-bed medical/surgical patient units with 32 total beds will also be located in the new patient tower.
All floors of the existing building will be connected to the new patient tower and will further advance Baylor Scott & White – Lake Pointe’s ability to serve the residents in the surrounding communities with personalized, quality care.
"We look forward to opening the new patient tower on the north side of Baylor Scott & White – Lake Pointe and expanding our offering to the community,” said Brett Lee, CEO, Baylor Scott & White – Lake Pointe. "While we continue to grow, we appreciate patients’ understanding of the on-site construction."
The hospital will remain fully operational during the construction phase of the new patient tower.
Additional features of the tower include patient registration areas, new dining options to include an expanded and renovated kitchen and a new lobby.
During construction of the tower, visitor and patient parking is available on the south side of the hospital, with entry at either the main south entry or ambulatory ER entrance.
