Rehabilitation and Physical Therapy

The Department of Rehabilitation Services specializes in non-surgical treatment of musculoskeletal pain and neurological rehabilitation. Our main focus is on function.

You may be limited in activity because of pain in your muscles, soft tissues or nerves.  The goal of Rehabilitation Services is to use a comprehensive approach to returning you to a more active, healthful lifestyle.

Our board certified, fellowship trained physiatrists and therapists are specially trained in the non-surgical management of musculoskeletal pain and neurological rehabilitation of:

  • Musculoskeletal dysfunction
  • Neurological disorders
  • Pediatric neurological and developmental disorders

Services

Physical Therapy

Our team of physical therapists combine their specialized training and experience with innovative equipment to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment. We offer individualized, one-on-one treatment sessions in order to provide the highest quality of care possible.

Our facility includes an AlterG anti-gravity treadmill, which helps patients walk while minimizing stress on injuries, a sports-specific surface (indoor turf) that reduces risk of injury for athletes, and decompression/traction tables to reduce nerve compression and relieve pain.

Occupational Therapy 

Occupational therapists assist in restoring one’s independence and returning an individual to their everyday activities.

Speech Therapy

Speech Therapy provides evaluation and treatment of speech/language disorders. Therapists and patients work together to develop more clear and effective communication.

Stroke patients or those with the following conditions may also qualify for speech therapy:

  • Multiple sclerosis
  • Huntington's disease
  • Cancer of the head, neck and throat
  • Voice problems
