Cardiac Rehabilitation

Outpatient cardiac rehabilitation is available to patients who have had a heart attack within the last year, had open-heart surgery within the last year, experience stable angina or have recently undergone a transplant.

Cardiac rehabilitation is a comprehensive, medically supervised 12-week program designed to educate and effect lifestyle changes in the areas of exercise, nutrition, stress management and smoking cessation.

Lee Silverman Voice Training (LVST)

The LSVT Program provides speech, physical and occupational therapy for individuals with Parkinson's disease.

LSVT BIG is delivered by a physical or occupational therapist in 16 sessions over a single month (four individual 60-minute sessions per week). The protocol addresses the unique movement impairments of people with Parkinson's disease.

LSVT LOUD is delivered by a speech-language therapist and is an effective speech treatment for individuals with Parkinson's disease and other neurological conditions. The treatment improves vocal loudness by stimulating the muscles of the voice box and speech mechanism through a systematic hierarchy of exercises.

Lymphedema Therapy

Our therapies for lymphedema include:

  • Compression bandaging

  • Patient-specific lymphedema physical therapy exercises

Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy is designed to enhance the functional independence of each patient. Our occupational therapy services may include, but are not limited to:

  • Stroke and neurological rehabilitation
  • Upper extremity orthopedics/splinting
  • Edema management
  • Adaptive equipment education
  • Energy conservation/Work simplification training/Arthritis management

Physical Therapy

Speech Therapy

Our speech therapy/speech language pathology services offer a wide range of outpatient rehabilitation services for patients who need to regain speech following an injury or health event, such as a stroke. Speech therapists and speech pathologists also work with patients who have difficulty in swallowing and/or cognitive deficits and memory problems.

Patients may receive training in speech and language skills, cognitive and memory skills, and oral motor musculature strengthening. Swallow evaluations, including modified barium swallows, are available.
