DAISY and Sunshine Awards at The Heart Hospital – Denton
The DAISY Award, an international program, rewards and celebrates the nurses who exemplify extraordinary clinical skills and compassionate care.
Every quarter, Baylor Scott & White The Heart Hospital – Denton will recognize one nurse as a DAISY Award Honoree at a public ceremony in her/his unit. The honoree receives a beautiful certificate, a DAISY Award pin and a hand-carved stone sculpture entitled A Healer's Touch. Additionally, the entire unit will celebrate with Cinnabon® cinnamon rolls.
The Sunshine award is available to non-nursing employees who demonstrate compassion and dedication to their job and the patients we serve in Denton. These employees go above and beyond and are recognized as role models.
