Will Turner, MBA, FACHE, has been president of Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Waxahachie since December 2018.
Turner has been with Baylor Scott & White since 2012 serving in a variety of leadership roles for multiple facilities within the organization. Prior to being named president of the Waxahachie medical center, he was interim leader of operations for Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Carrollton.
He holds a Master of Business Administration in healthcare administration from Baylor University, as well as a Master of Business Administration in management and entrepreneurship and a Bachelor of Arts in biochemistry from Texas Tech University. He is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and has served on various committees for the Texas Hospital Association.
Turner and his wife Melanie, a registered nurse, are honored to be a part of the growing Ellis County community. They both share a love of healthcare and a passion for serving others.
Cindy Murray currently serves as chief nursing officer at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Waxahachie. She is responsible for being the voice of the patient, advocating for both patients and quality care.
The departments that report to Murray include: acute care services, cardiopulmonary, sleep lab, pain management, laboratory, pharmacy, emergency services, surgical services, radiology, bariatrics, environmental services, and plant operations. Murray has been with Baylor since 2006, but has worked in healthcare for over 15 years, beginning her career in surgical services.
She previously served as interim CNO at the University of Texas Southwestern Hospitals where she held numerous clinical leadership positions. During her tenure she played a key role in improving operational efficiencies.
Murray is a member of the American Organization of Nurse Executives, the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses, Sigma Theta Tau honor society for nursing, American Nurse Association, Texas Nurse Association and Historic Waxahachie. She serves on the Dallas-Fort Worth Hospital Council advisory board. In 2008, Murray was recognized by the Dallas-Fort Worth Hospital Nurse Administrators Forum and Texas Nurses Association Districts Three and Four as one of the Great 100 Nurses.
Murray received her Bachelor of Nursing degree from Texas Woman’s University, as well as a master’s in business administration, and a master’s in healthcare administration. She is a Fellow of the J&J/Wharton Executive Management Program, The Wharton School, at the University of Pennsylvania.
BJ Roberts has more than 25 years of experience serving hospitals and health systems. His background is centered around healthcare finance, but also includes experience in operations, Lean management, quality, compliance and supply chain.
Prior to joining Baylor Scott & White – Waxahachie in April 2018, Roberts served as vice president of Finance at Baptist Health Care Corporation in Pensacola, Florida. In this capacity, he was responsible for all financial reporting, accounts payable, budget, cash management, decision support, tax and supply chain operations. He has also previously worked for other hospitals and health systems.
Roberts holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in accounting from the University of Central Arkansas and an MBA with an emphasis in Healthcare Administration. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.
