Growing Involvement in Our Community
As a partner with the citizens of our community, Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Waxahachie is committed to contributing to the life of the Ellis County community.
Throughout the year Baylor Scott & White – Waxahachie offers free preventive health services to the community such as health screenings, health fairs, immunizations and community education. We participate in local civic organizations and each year our employees are part of the annual United Way Fundraising campaign.
- In addition to participating in other local health events, Baylor Scott & White – Waxahachie hosts "For Women For Life" and "It's a Guy Thing" each year, where members of the community can receive free health screenings, information and have a physician answer their health questions.
- The hospital's Breast Cancer Support Group is open to all women who have survived or are being treated for breast cancer regardless of where they receive care.
- Every year, Baylor Scott & White – Waxahachie makes a significant donation to the Hope Clinic in order to assist in providing a medical home for uninsured or underinsured residents of Ellis County. In addition, many physicians on our medical staff volunteer their time at the clinic.
- The hospital also supports fellow community non-profit organizations by sponsoring annual fundraisers such as the United Way, Relay for Life and others.
It is a goal for Baylor Scott & White Health to work to improve the health of the communities we serve. For more information about our community involvement, or to request our assistance in a community project or event, please call us at 469.843.4000.
