Imaging and Radiology

Imaging procedures are one of the most useful tools for diagnosing a range of illnesses and conditions. Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – White Rock offers patients many advanced medical imaging procedures in a comfortable environment.

All imaging procedure results are read and returned by a radiologists.

We offer a wide range of outpatient diagnostic services, including:

  • Bone Densitometry – measure the amount of calcium in different regions of the bone to diagnose bone loss and determine a patient’s risk for fractures.
  • CT Scan – combines X-rays and computer scans to create images of the body. The result is a detailed image that can show soft tissues, organs and bones.
  • Mammography – 3-D mammography located in the Imaging Center on Lovers Lane, a department of Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – White Rock.
  • MRI – provides detailed images of the inside of the body using strong magnets and radio waves.
  • Nuclear Medicine – studies involving the use of small amounts of radioactive materials (or tracers) to determine the cause of medical problems.
  • Ultrasound – uses sound waves to visualize the body's interior.
  • X-ray – uses a small amount of radiation to create x-ray images of bones and organs. We offer computed radiography.​​

Conveniently located, the Imaging Center on Lovers Lane, a department of Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – White Rock offers some of the latest technology in screening, diagnostic and 3-D mammography.

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – White Rock offers digital mammography at the Women’s Imaging Center located at the main hospital campus. 3-D mammography technology is available at Baylor Scott & White Imaging Center on Lovers Lane, a department of Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – White Rock.
