Erin Reynolds, PsyD

Dr. Reynolds is a Sports Neuropsychologist with Baylor Scott & White Sports Concussion Program at the ST&R. She also serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor in Orthopedic Surgery at Texas A&M University Health Science Center. Dr. Reynolds is a fellowship-trained Sports Neuropsychologist with specialization in the assessment and treatment of sport-related concussion. Dr. Reynolds received her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from William James College and completed an APA-accredited internship and two-year postdoctoral residency in Clinical Neuropsychology at the Bedford VA Medical Center (VAMC) in Bedford, MA, followed by an advanced postdoctoral fellowship in Sports Neuropsychology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) Sports Medicine Concussion Program. She served as Fellowship Director for the UPMC Sports Medicine Concussion Program and Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh for five years prior to joining Baylor Scott & White Health in 2017. Dr. Reynolds treats youth, high school, collegiate and professional-level athletes who have sustained a concussion. She has published in numerous peer-reviewed journals including a seminal paper in Neurosurgery that identified a new model for understanding and treating concussion as a heterogeneous injury. Her ongoing research interests include the identification of factors that may influence recovery from concussion, improving treatment protocols, and the psychological sequelae of injury. She holds committee positions with the both the National Academy of Neuropsychology (NAN) and the Sports Neuropsychology Society (SNS) and is a frequently invited lecturer on the topic of sport-related concussion at local, as well as national, meetings.
