Overview

Available to all benefits-eligible employees, but you must be enrolled to receive benefits.

How it works

Critical illness pays a lump sum of $15,000 or $30,000 directly to you upon the first diagnosis of a covered condition, depending on the benefit amount you elect. Designated conditions include cancer, heart attack, stroke, Alzheimer’s disease, end-stage kidney disease and more.

Premiums are deducted from your paycheck after taxes.

Wellness Benefit

Bonus: The plan pays a $50 wellness benefit if a covered health screening is performed (annual checkup, colonoscopy, mammogram, etc.). If you elect coverage for your spouse or dependents, their benefit amount is 100% of your elected benefit amount.
