Alexandra Thomas, MD

Dr. Alexandra Thomas is a pediatrician with a particular interest in the unique challenges of adolescence such as eating disorders, weight management, sports health and nutrition, acne, mental health, substance use, menstrual concerns, gynecological care, sexual and reproductive health, and more.


From a young age, Dr. Thomas has been fascinated by the blend of science, compassion, and problem-solving that medicine embodies. The opportunity to truly make a difference in people’s lives is what drove her to pursue medicine. As an athlete who has faced multiple challenges, she has seen firsthand how healthcare providers can positively impact recovery and well-being. This personal journey inspired her to focus on delivering compassionate care, especially to those who are most vulnerable.

Outside work she likes staying active and healthy, exploring Austin’s culinary scene and spending time with her husband and daughter.
