Biography
Dr. Quispe is a board-certified cardiologist and specializes in clinical cardiac electrophysiology. The scope of his clinical practice includes all aspects of cardiac electrophysiology, including implantation of conduction system and leadless pacemakers as well as defibrillators using transvenous, subcutaneous and extravascular approaches. Dr. Quispe also performs complex catheter ablation for both atrial and ventricular arrhythmias as well as lead extraction using laser and mechanical tools. With a Masters in Health Sciences (MHS) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Clinical Investigation from The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Dr. Quispe is strongly committed to the advancement of science and has been actively involved in cardiovascular research since the beginning of his medical training. He has published more than 60 articles in leading cardiology and medicine journals, in addition to more than 20 book chapters. He has served as peer reviewer in a number of international journals including the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, Circulation, Journal of the American Heart Association, American Journal of Cardiology, American Journal of Preventive Cardiology, Heart, among others. Outside of caring for his patients, Dr. Quispe is an avid world traveler and has visited over 30 countries in 5 different continents in the past few years. He has a passion for music; he was the lead guitarist in rock bands during his youth, and regularly attends all types of music events, particularly classical music and opera concerts. He enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and family, and two dogs. They are all very excited about all Dallas has to offer.
