Jose Rivera, MD

Jose Rivera, MD is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Cardiovascular Disease. He has extensive experience in diagnostic imaging and holds certifications from the National Board of Echocardiography and the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology. He is active in the medical community as a member of the American College of Cardiology, American Heart Association, American Society of Echocardiography and American Society of Nuclear Cardiology. Dr. Rivera is bilingual in English and Spanish and is involved in Hispanic community outreach efforts, including volunteering at the Collin County Adult Clinic in East Plano. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Natural Sciences degree from Johns Hopkins University and his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He served an internship and residency in internal medicine at Temple University and completed a fellowship in cardiology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.
