Biography
Dr. Roshny George chose medicine as a career because it allows her to merge her passion for science with a desire to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. Medicine offered a pathway where she could not only explore this science, but also apply it to help others in a tangible way. Dr. George is deeply motivated by the human side of medicine, noting it is one of the few fields where providers connect with people in their most vulnerable moments and play a role in their journey toward health and healing. Whether it's diagnosing an illness, guiding someone through a challenging diagnosis, or simply being a supportive presence during tough times, she finds immense purpose in building those connections. Each patient encounter is unique, teaching her not only about clinical care but also about empathy, resilience, and the diverse ways people approach their health and well-being. Nephrology provides an exciting mix of preventive, therapeutic and critical care components that are always evolving. Every patient presents a unique challenge keeping her intellectually engaged and reinforcing her commitment to this specialty. Over the years, Dr. George has found that one of the most rewarding aspects of nephrology is the opportunity to build lasting relationships with patients as chronic kidney disease often requires long-term management, from early interventions through dialysis or transplant. This continuity is immensely fulfilling, reminding her daily of the impact that meaningful, compassionate care can have. Outside of work, she enjoys travel, hiking, watching sports, listening to music and attending live concerts whenever possible.
