William Robert Loesch, MD

William Loesch, MD, is board-certified in internal medicine and treats Central Texans at Baylor Scott & White – The Brenham Clinic, specializing in disease prevention. Dr. Loesch serves as the local health authority for Washington County, EMS medical director and air medical director. He has helped the EMS program in its innovation, such as adding a community paramedic program, putting blood products on ambulances and working to improve pre-hospital care in the community.

Dr. Loesch enjoys teaching and was a clinical professor of medicine for Texas A&M Health Science Center, the University of Texas Medical Branch, and is currently on staff for the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.

Dr. Loesch was chosen as a fellow of the American College of Physicians, where he also served on the board of directors. Dr. Loesch was named the Outstanding Outpatient Internal Medicine Instructor in 2019 by Texas A&M Health Science Center’s Integrated Medicine program. In 2020, he was named Brenham’s “Favorite Doctor” by the Brenham Banner-Press.

When out of the clinic, Dr. Loesch enjoys fishing, dove hunting and camping with his family. He is regularly active with his son’s Boy Scout troop and serves as an assistant scoutmaster. Dr. Loesch is active with several organizations in town, including St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Brenham. He is married with three sons.
