Bonny Victoria Hinz, CNM

Bonny Hinz is a certified nurse midwife who provides obstetrics and gynecology care in College Station. She has been working with families for over 25 years—delivering about 2,000 babies and providing gynecological care to more than 20,000 women.

Bonny loves educating women and their families about their choices so they can make informed decisions as they navigate pregnancy, childbirth and parenting. She is deeply committed to working with women of all ages to provide personalized care that respects their dignity, beliefs and goals and loves watching families and children grow.


At the beginning of her career, Bonny worked in human resources and international marketing, but her experience with midwife care during her own pregnancy inspired her to pursue helping families in this way, too. She taught natural childbirth classes and attended births as a doula and labor coach before continuing her education in nurse-midwifery.

Bonny is also involved in medical education and staying current with medical research. She gives presentations to high school classes and at health fairs, helps train labor and delivery nurses, and serves as a preceptor for nurse-midwifery and other nurse practitioner students. She has given presentations for medical Grand Rounds on Optimizing Outcomes in High-Risk Pregnancies and has published articles in the Journal of Midwifery and Women’s Health.

In her free time, Bonny spends time with her husband, two sons and their standard poodle. She enjoys hiking, water sports, reading detective and spy thriller novels, skiing and gardening.
