Biography
Why I became a psychiatrist I became a psychiatrist because I wanted to understand people at their most vulnerable and help them regain control of their lives. I have seen how untreated mental illness affects families, schools, justice systems, and entire communities. Psychiatry allows me to combine science, compassion, and advocacy to help individuals heal while also addressing larger systemic gaps in care.
