About Chelsey Brister, MS, CGC

Chelsey Burden is a board-certified genetic counselor and supervisor of the genetic counseling department at Baylor University Medical Center. Chelsey has been providing care to patients at BUMC since 2016. She received a Bachelor of Science in Genetics from Texas A&M University and a Master of Science in Genetic Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Chelsey trained in all areas of genetics; however, her primary focus at BUMC is cancer genetics. Chelsey is passionate about providing empathetic care to patients, educating families about the genetic contributions to disease, and empowering people to take an active role in their healthcare.
