Megan Shelton, MD is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon, with specialized training and expertise in treating high-risk skin cancer and surgical reconstruction.
Dr. Shelton graduated medical school from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. She completed her residency training at the University of Texas at Austin in dermatology, where she served as chief resident in her final year. She then went on to complete her fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery and dermatologic oncology at the University of Michigan. After completion of her fellowship, Dr. Shelton practiced in the division of Cutaneous Surgery and Oncology at the University of Michigan, where she also helped train dermatology residents and medical students. She has authored multiple peer reviewed journal articles and medical textbook chapters.
Dr. Shelton is interested in the care of patients hoping to detect and prevent skin cancer, and in treating those with squamous and basal cell carcinoma, melanoma, and other rare skin cancers.
She enjoys spending her free time with her family, baking, and gardening (with a hat and sunscreen, of course).
