Biography
Dr. Newell is a Licensed Acupuncturist and a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Her specialties include acupuncture, herbal medicine, orthopedics and sports medicine. Other areas of care include pain management, women's health and fertility, and pediatric acupuncture. Dr. Newell earned a Master of Science of Oriental Medicine degree from Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College in Berkeley, CA, and then a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, CA. She also completed an internship in sports medicine and orthopedics with the UC Berkeley Athletics department. In her free time, Dr. Newell enjoys hiking, cooking, traveling, spending time with family and exploring new places. She speaks English and conversational German.
