Dawson Stanley, LPC

Dawson Stanley chose a career in mental and behavioral health out of a lifelong curiosity about how people think, behave, and respond to their environments and relationships. Early in his career, he discovered a natural ability to connect with others, which inspired him to pursue advanced education and a career in therapy. He is passionate about helping individuals live more fully and authentically, while fostering hope and healing during difficult seasons of life.


Dawson finds great fulfillment in helping clients experience meaningful breakthroughs and new perspectives — those “ah-ha” moments that can lead to lasting change. He is primarily trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and also holds a certificate in Grief Therapy. He works primarily with teenagers, young adults, and adults, and values a relational approach that helps clients build and strengthen secure, healthy relationships both inside and outside the therapy setting.

His interests outside of work include reading, watching TV/movies, spending time with friends and family, and being outside, whether that is going on casual hikes or finding new parks to enjoy. He also enjoys finding new restaurants to try out and listening to live music.

Dawson sees patients age 5 years and older.
