Overview of patient comments

Summary created using AI

Patients appreciate

Dr. Shepherd receives overwhelmingly positive feedback from patients who consistently praise his professionalism, medical expertise, and communication skills. Patients frequently highlight that he takes time to thoroughly explain diagnoses, procedures, risks, and treatment plans in ways they can understand, often using models and detailed explanations. Many reviewers emphasize that he never makes them feel rushed during appointments and patiently answers all questions. His caring and compassionate bedside manner is repeatedly mentioned, with patients describing him as genuinely concerned about their well-being and attentive to their needs. Several long-term patients express complete confidence in his care, with some noting his expertise in robotic surgery and successful treatment of conditions like bladder cancer and kidney issues. His office staff and nursing team also receive praise for their professionalism and support.

Patients also share

While the vast majority of reviews are highly positive, a few patients identified areas for improvement. One patient gave a low rating citing that Dr. Shepherd seemed rushed during a procedure and failed to provide post-operative instructions, which represents a significant gap in care. Another patient, while acknowledging Dr. Shepherd's knowledge and explanation skills, felt that his reassuring responses came across as somewhat dismissive during an emotionally difficult time, though this reviewer acknowledged their own emotional state may have influenced their perception. These concerns about feeling rushed or not fully heard stand in contrast to the many reviews praising his unhurried approach, suggesting inconsistency in patient experience on occasion.
