We’re here for you with a full range of services, from prevention to immediate care for stroke symptoms to stroke rehabilitation and recovery.

Based on specific criteria, mechanical thrombectomy is an advanced option offered by our Comprehensive Stroke Center in Grapevine to care for stroke quickly. This minimally invasive, image-guided procedure uses a small incision to remove or repair the cause of the stroke from inside the blood vessel.

2025 highlights include:

  • American Heart Association/American Stroke Associations Get with The Guidelines – Stroke Gold Plus, which recognized demonstrated compliance with 7 established measures.
    • Target: Stroke Honor Roll-Elite Plus (American Heart Association/American Stroke Association) recipient by consistently delivering clot-busting medication within established timeframes. Eligibility requires treatment of applicable acute ischemic stroke patients within:
      • 60 minutes for at least 85% of patients
      • 45 minutes for at least 75% of patients
      • 30 minutes for at least 50% of patients
    • Advanced Therapy award (American Heart Association/American Stroke Association) recipient for providing thrombectomy services quickly to patients. To receive this award, 50% of patient must have thrombectomy performed within 90 minutes of hospital arrival and within 60 minutes for patients that are transferred from another hospital.
    • Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll (American Heart Association/American Stroke Association) recipient, which recognized demonstrated compliance with ten established measures.
  • Median time for clot-busting medication was 33 minutes, with 98% of patients receiving this medication within 60 minutes of Emergency Department arrival
    • 97% of applicable patients received the clot-busting medicines within 45 minutes of Emergency Department arrival. Notably, the national average for this benchmark is 74% of patients.
    • 81% of applicable patients received the clot-busting medicines with 30 minutes of Emergency Department arrival. Notably, the national average for this benchmark is 39%.
  • 70 patients treated with clot-busting (thrombolytic) medication
  • 66 patients treated with mechanical endovascular reperfusion therapy
