Biography
Brenda Olmos is a certified family nurse practitioner specializing in primary care in the Greater Austin Area. Throughout her career she has taken a keen interest in diabetes management, education for advanced practice providers (APPs), Spanish education for healthcare professionals, serving medically underserved populations, and mental health care. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Texas Nurse Practitioners, Austin Advanced Practice Nurses (President 2025-26) and the National Association of Hispanic Nurses. Brenda speaks English and Spanish and is a first-generation Mexican American. She values human connection with her patients and while she enjoys caring for patients across the lifespan, she holds a special place in her heart for older adults.
