Mental Health Care
Personalized matching and planning
You’re matched with a provider and a care team that works with you to create a holistic mental health plan.
Coordinated care through the Baylor Scott & White network
We use an integrated approach, often starting with your primary care physician (PCP), extending to talk therapy, psychiatry or both.
Connectivity and access through digital tools
You can access care and resources virtually, through the Mental Health Care platform within the MyBSWHealth app.
Getting started
Mental Health Care redefines the traditional approach to mental health services by making it easier to find the right provider. Mental Health Care reduces barriers to help you access support.
1. Check your eligibility
First, answer a few questions in the MyBSWHealth app to verify your eligibility and help us determine the best care for you.
2. Find your match
If you are eligible, you’ll be connected to a care navigator to help you select the right therapist, psychiatrist or both.
3. Connect online
Once matched, you’ll meet your therapist or psychiatrist online and start your journey toward better mental health.
4. Access resources and support
Through the Mental Health Care platform in the MyBSWHealth app, you'll have support and resources, likely weekly touchpoints, to keep focused on your plan.
What we offer
Online therapy can improve accessibility to mental healthcare. You have the added benefit of a platform where your doctors can work directly with each other. Plus, flexible scheduling helps you maintain consistent care.
The conditions we treat*
Anxiety
Anxiety is very common, and, over time, it can take a significant toll on your physical and emotional health. Anxiety can include excessive worry, irritability, difficulty with focus, muscle tension, feeling restless or difficulty sleeping.
Depression
We all experience occasional sadness, but depression is different. Depression can be associated with the loss of interest in things that you previously enjoyed, changes in your appetite, changes in your sleep patterns, low energy and motivation, difficulty with focus or even thoughts of death or suicide.
Stress
Stress is inevitable in life; work, relationships and finances can all contribute. When it gets overwhelming or you start feeling burned-out, it can help to speak to a professional who can help you identify ways to get your life back to where you want it.
*As this is a new program for Baylor Scott & White, Mental Health Care will be adding more areas of treatment in the future.
Get startedThe services we provide
Talk therapy
Psychotherapy, or "talk therapy," is one-on-one counseling with a provider licensed to help you explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviors and understand how they are connected. Your provider can help you find strategies to cope with your stress or change behaviors that are no longer helpful.
Psychiatry
Psychiatry is treatment with a medical doctor who specializes in mental health and can prescribe medication. Psychiatrists can evaluate, diagnose and provide medication management to help address your symptoms.
Digital health tracking
Digital therapeutic tools allow for reflecting on mood and sleep patterns, tracking of medication and journaling throughout your treatment. These tools can be found on the Mental Health Care platform within the MyBSWHealth app.
Care coordination
With coordination between your behavioral health providers, our integrated approach helps your providers work together to create and maintain your treatment plan, while keeping your PCP in the loop on your progress.
