Getting started is easy

Answer a few questions to determine if you qualify for the program and provide information to personalize your dashboard and experience.
2. Connect with your care advocate
Once you've enrolled, connect with your care advocate as often as you need when questions arise—for support and a personalized experience along the way.
3. Find support throughout the pregnancy
Throughout your pregnancy, discover resources, educational materials and trimester-specific guides, and stay connected through digital tools and messaging—all for greater peace of mind.
4. Easily transition to postpartum care
Transition to the Postpartum Care program after the birth of your baby. You’ll find support, tips and guidance to help you through your postpartum journey.

Eligibility

Am I eligible for Pregnancy Care?
To confirm your eligibility and to enroll, create an account or log in to MyBSWHealth and complete the enrollment survey.

Do I need a doctor referral?
No, you do not need a referral for the Pregnancy Care program, although your OBGYN may refer you to the program during an appointment.

When should I start using the Pregnancy Care app?
You can begin using the program and its digital tools as soon as your doctor confirms your pregnancy, and you are either referred to or enrolled in the program.
Insurance and cost

Is insurance required?
Insurance is not required for the program itself. If you have insurance coverage, your visits with your OBGYN or other specialists during your pregnancy will be billed to your insurance (co-pays may apply).

What is the cost for the Pregnancy Care digital tool within the MyBSWHealth app?
There is no cost for the digital tools, care advocate messaging and trimester-specific information available to you as part of the Pregnancy Care program.

Are in-person appointments available?
The Pregnancy Care program is a virtual program to supplement your visits to a provider during your pregnancy. It is not designed to replace OBGYN care.

Pregnancy Care is designed to provide you with timely and high-quality care. You can connect with your care advocate as soon as you enroll in the program.

How do I use Pregnancy Care?
Once you have enrolled in the program, you can access your program dashboard through the MyBSWHealth mobile app and connect with your care advocate.

How can I work with my care advocate?
Your care advocate will answer any questions you have throughout your pregnancy. You’ll receive personal support and advice based on your questions.

You'll have access to a care advocate and trimester-specific guidance, informative guides, progress tracking, messaging and scheduling.

What expertise does a care advocate have?
Your care advocate is a registered nurse with experience in caring for expectant and postpartum patients.

Do I need to be a resident of Texas for this program?
Yes, you will need to be a Texas resident to participate, unless you get access through your employer.

Do I need to be a patient at Baylor Scott & White?
No, you do not have to be a current Baylor Scott & White patient to enroll in virtual pregnancy care or to continue with virtual postpartum care after your baby arrives.

How often should I use the Pregnancy Care app?
As often as you need, depending on the information you are seeking. There is no limit to the questions you ask. Note: The app is not intended to take the place of ongoing visits to your OBGYN; rather, it is meant as a helpful tool to fill in any gaps between visits.

What if there's a change in my pregnancy?
In the case of a change in your pregnancy, your care advocate will be notified and will reach out to you to help you with the next steps. Your profile can be edited and updated easily to reflect this change.
