I went for allergy issues expecting to get a shot, which is what I normally get. The PA explained that she would be happy to give me the shot but explained, in full, the reason why it would not be the best idea for me to not get the shot. She gave other avenues for me to try to make me feel better and keep me safe for the time being. I'm grateful she did not just give me the shot and send me out the door without explaining the consequences first. she understood my job and thought it would not be the best idea for me to have the shot at this time.
