Biography
Abdelrahman Aly is a board-certified cardiologist with expertise in cardiovascular disease, preventive cardiology, and advanced cardiovascular imaging, dedicated to helping patients prevent, detect, and manage heart disease through comprehensive evaluation and personalized care. Before joining Baylor Scott & White, Dr. Aly practiced as a cardiology consultant at Mayo Clinic and served as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Aly completed his internal medicine residency and cardiovascular disease fellowship at the University of Missouri–Kansas City and Mid America Heart Institute. He also received additional training in preventive medicine at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and Mayo Clinic. His clinical interests include preventive cardiology, cardiovascular risk assessment and modification, and advanced cardiac imaging, including echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography (TEE), cardiovascular CT, and nuclear cardiology imaging. He commonly cares for patients with chest pain, coronary artery disease, heart rhythm concerns, and cardiovascular risk factors such as high blood pressure, cholesterol disorders, and family history of heart disease. Dr. Aly is board-certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease, with additional board certifications in echocardiography and nuclear cardiology, and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC). He has also been involved in cardiovascular research, including work in stem cell therapy for cardiovascular disease at Mayo Clinic and prior research at the University of Colorado in Denver. Dr. Aly and his family moved to the area to be closer to their extended family in Texas. Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with his family, outdoor activities, volunteering, and traveling. He believes in partnering with patients to promote heart health through prevention, education, and personalized care, and strives to treat every patient with the same compassion and attention he would offer his own family members.
