Abhishek Kumar, MD

Dr. Kumar is a fellowship-trained and board-certified interventional pulmonologist with expertise in a wide range of minimally invasive pulmonary procedures. He focuses on lung cancer diagnostic and therapeutic interventions using flexible/EBUS-EUSB/rigid bronchoscopy, benign lung diseases (like bronchoscopic lung volume reduction for COPD, and transbronchial cryo-biopsy for ILD), ultrasound-guided percutaneous pulmonary procedures, and both benign and malignant pleural diseases. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Kumar is the medical director of interventional pulmonology at Baylor University Medical Center, part of Baylor Scott & White Health and serves as an Associate Professor of Medicine at the Texas A&M University College of Medicine.


When his busy schedule allows, Dr. Kumar enjoys playing badminton, table tennis, pool, swimming, watching movies/sports, and traveling, all with his family and friends.
