Dr. Ylitalo is a general urologist practicing all aspects of male and female urology. He received his Bachelor of Science from Baylor University with major in Chemistry. He completed his medical degree at the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth before completing his residency in Urology at Michigan State University in Detroit where he served as Chief Resident. He is a Fellow of both the American College of Surgeons and the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons.
Dr. Ylitalo is board certified in Urology by the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery. His passion for Urology has led to multiple publications and presentations throughout his career. He has received the Michigan Chapter of the American College of Surgeons Ethics Award.
Dr. Ylitalo is married to Kelly Ylitalo, PhD, who is on faculty at Baylor University Medical Center, part of Baylor Scott & White Health, specializing in chronic disease epidemiology. They have two children, Edison and Eleanor. His interests include traveling, Baylor University sporting events and spending time with his family. He has traveled on surgical mission trips to South Africa and Guatemala, and he attends Harris Creek Baptist Church.
