Biography

Dr. Afshin Ehsan is a board-certified adult cardiothoracic surgeon. His professional interests include surgical treatment of complex valvular heart disease, catheter-based aortic and mitral valve therapies and minimally invasive surgery. Among his most common procedures is mitral valve repairs, aortic valve replacements and surgery for complex coronary artery disease.

Dr. Ehsan is passionate about providing comprehensive treatment for all forms of cardiovascular disease in his patients.

Dr. Ehsan is a member of the American Association for Thoracic Surgery, the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, the Society of University Surgeons, the American College of Cardiology, the American Heart Association and the American College of Surgeons. He is proud to serve as the Chief of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple.

Outside of work, Dr. Ehsan enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking, traveling and live music.
