Biography

Alexander Hallwachs, MD, is a fellowship-trained orthopedic sports medicine surgeon dedicated to helping patients of all ages stay active and return to the activities they enjoy. He believes that sports and active lifestyles play an important role in overall health and works to build strong partnerships with patients, empowering them to make informed decisions about their care. Dr. Hallwachs specializes in arthroscopic repair and reconstruction of sports-related injuries of the shoulder, elbow, knee and ankle, creating individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's goals. His fellowship training included caring for athletes at the high school, collegiate and professional levels, including the Detroit Lions, Detroit Pistons and Detroit Tigers.
