He believes sports and active lifestyles play an important role in overall health and works to build strong partnerships with patients, empowering them to make informed decisions about their care. Dr. Hallwachs specializes in the evaluation and treatment of sports-related injuries and orthopedic conditions affecting the shoulder, elbow, knee and ankle, including ligament tears, cartilage injuries, tendon injuries, shoulder instability, rotator cuff injuries, meniscus tears and ACL injuries. He has expertise in arthroscopic surgery, sports injury repair and reconstruction, and non-surgical treatment options tailored to each patient's goals and activity level. Dr. Hallwachs cares for adolescent, adult and older adult patients, from competitive athletes to active individuals seeking to return to work, exercise and recreational activities. His fellowship training included caring for athletes at the high school, collegiate and professional levels, including the Detroit Lions, Detroit Pistons and Detroit Tigers. He is committed to developing individualized treatment plans that help patients recover safely, restore function and return to the activities they enjoy.
