Biography

Dr. Mahgoub is fellowship-trained in transplant hepatology and gastroenterology. He attended medical school at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine and completed his internal medicine residency training at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas.

Before joining the hepatology team at Baylor University Medical Center, part of Baylor Scott & White Health, Dr. Mahgoub worked in transplant hepatology at the University of Minnesota where he was involved in direct patient care, liver disease research and clinical trials.

His professional interests include chronic liver disease management, liver transplantation and fatty liver disease.
