Biography
Dr. Amina Igeh is a fellowship-trained urogynecologist. She completed her fellowship at Yale School of Medicine after earning her medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and completing her OBGYN residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in El Paso. She received her undergraduate degree from Princeton University. Her clinical interests include pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, and reconstructive pelvic surgery. Dr. Igeh is also passionate about medical education, mentoring, and global health, and has participated in global health initiatives in Rwanda, Ethiopia and Kenya. She is excited to return to Texas at Texas Urogynecology at Baylor Scott & White in Dallas.
Dr. Igeh performs robotic-assisted surgery, including robotic sacrocolpopexy and robotic hysterectomy, and offers uterine-sparing prolapse repair for patients who wish to preserve their uterus.
Outside of the office, Dr. Igeh enjoys traveling, reading, hiking, walking, anything to do with water, discovering new restaurants and coffee shops, and spending time with loved ones. She is also passionate about global health, medical education, and advancing women's health.
