Biography
Dr. Shivnani strongly encourages patients to consider clinical trials to help further advances in cancer care. The trials that he has participated in have been presented at national meetings including the annual meeting for the American Society for Radiation Oncology and the ASCO Gastrointestinal Cancers Symposium.
He has also published letters and articles in several journals, including the New England Journal of Medicine, the Journal of the American Medical Association and the International Journal of Radiation Oncology, Biology, Physics.
Additionally, Dr. Shivnani is passionate about education for physicians and other members of the radiation team. He is co-chair of the education subcommittee for the US Oncology Network Radiation Oncology Leadership Committee and also serves on the task force for the Practical Radiation Oncology Track for the ASTRO Annual Meeting.
In his free time, Dr. Shivnani enjoys traveling, reading and playing chess with his wife and two boys.
