Andrew Gabriel Alfaro, MD

Andrew Alfaro, MD, is a family medicine physician at Baylor Scott & White Family Medical Center in Rockwall, Texas. He is committed to delivering evidence-based, patient-centered care and believes in building long-term relationships with patients through open communication, education and personalized treatment plans.


Dr. Alfaro's clinical interests include preventive and lifestyle medicine, chronic disease management, obesity medicine, men's health and public health advocacy. He works closely with patients to prevent illness, manage chronic conditions and achieve their health goals through individualized care strategies that support long-term wellness. His approach emphasizes listening to patients' concerns, explaining diagnoses and treatment options clearly, and partnering with each patient to create a plan that fits their unique needs.

Dr. Alfaro earned his medical degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in Lubbock and completed his family medicine residency training at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. He is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Texas Academy of Family Physicians, Texas Medical Association, American Medical Association and Dallas County Medical Society.

Fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Alfaro is dedicated to serving the diverse healthcare needs of the Rockwall community and surrounding areas. Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with his wife and son, staying active through cycling and fitness, participating in church activities and mission trips, and exploring the arts and cultural attractions throughout the Dallas area.
