Dr. Hossain completed medical school in Arizona where she focused on health inequities and border health. This led her to moving to D.C to pursue a focus in health policy while completing her residency in Internal Medicine. There she had the privilege of training at multiple hospitals to gain a multi-faceted training experience in solid tumors and both benign and malignant hematology in the D.C/Maryland Region, developing a special interest in Breast and Thoracic Oncology. She graduated in 2020 and moved to Austin, Texas with her husband where they now have a 4-year-old daughter and newborn. Her interests include hiking, barre, Pilates, travelling, baking, and spending as much quality time as she can with dear friends and family. In July 2026, Dr. Hossain was featured in Texas Monthly’s Rising Stars Super Doctors of 2026–the top 2.5% of Texan physicians in each subspecialty within 10 years of starting practice—based upon an assessment by a 3rd party from patient reviews, outcomes, and peer nominations.
