Ayesha Sheikh, MBBS, MD, FACP

Dr. Ayesha Sheikh has five board certifications from ABIM including internal medicine, hematology, oncology, geriatrics and hospice and palliative medicine. She has extensive experience as a clinician and takes special interest in providing holistic, multidimensional care to all her patients especially older adults with a wide range of malignancies and blood disorders. She gives high priority to maintaining patients’ quality of life and incorporates palliative care principles into routine oncologic care. She is an expert in using the latest treatment modalities in cancer treatment including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapy. She uses open communication as a basic tool to provide personalized patient-centered care.


Dr. Sheikh's areas of expertise include solid malignancies like lung cancer, breast cancer, colon cancer, and prostate cancer, hematologic malignancies like lymphoma, multiple myeloma and benign hematologic disorders like anemia.
