Bill Shumate, MD

Prior to joining Family Medical Center at Garland, Dr. Shumate was the Medical Director at the Family Practice Clinic of the United State Air Force Academy Hospital in Colorado Springs, CO. He also participates in community services projects, Project Access and Hope Clinic. A native Texan, living in Houston and Plano most of his life, Dr. Shumate and his wife, Karla have eleven children. Dr. Shumate enjoys skiing, hiking, camping, music and is involved in church activities.
