Biography

Dr. Hood is a fellowship-trained neurosurgeon covering all aspects of neurosurgery, including tumors of the brain and spine, cranial and spinal trauma, peripheral nerve entrapment, degenerative conditions of the spine, acute and chronic pain, the application of neuromodulation, and minimally invasive solutions to spine pathology. His goal is to maximize all conservative options prior to surgery.


As a veteran with a deployment to Afghanistan, Dr. Hood enjoys the opportunity to provide care for fellow veterans and current service members.

In his spare time, Dr. Hood enjoys triathlons, hunting and fishing with his four children.

Dr. Hood was recognized by D Magazine as a "Best Doctor in Collin County" for 2024 and 2026.
A participating physician in the Baylor Scott & White Back and Neck Care program.
