Brittney Zennez Heard, MD

Dr. Brittney Heard is a board-certified cardiac electrophysiologist specializing in advanced heart rhythm care for adults. She treats complex arrhythmias, including atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, supraventricular tachycardias, and ventricular arrhythmias. Her expertise includes catheter ablation, fluoroless ablation, and device-based therapies such as pacemakers, defibrillators, and cardiac resynchronization therapy.


Dr. Heard completed her cardiovascular disease and clinical cardiac electrophysiology fellowships at the University of Virginia, where she trained extensively in advanced ablation and cardiac device management. She is a member of the Heart Rhythm Society and the American College of Cardiology.

Dr. Heard takes time to explain conditions and treatment options with the goal of helping patients feel confident and comfortable with their care plan. She welcomes adults seeking personalized, comprehensive heart rhythm care.

Outside of work, Dr. Heard enjoys spending time with family, reading, cooking, crocheting, playing board and video games, practicing yoga, and engaging with her community.
