Biography
Dr. Cathryn Coleman is a general surgeon specializing in minimally invasive complex hernia surgery and abdominal wall reconstruction. She is dedicated to providing her patients with the most advanced surgical techniques available, helping them achieve the best possible outcomes with less pain and faster recovery. Dr. Coleman's passion for medicine was evident early on. She earned her Bachelor of Science degrees in both Biology and Chemistry — graduating magna cum laude — from Rhodes College in 2012. She went on to complete her medical degree at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 2016. She then moved to Dallas to complete her surgical residency at Baylor University Medical Center, where her peers and faculty recognized her leadership and dedication by selecting her to serve as Administrative Chief Resident during her final year (2020–2021). This role reflected not only her surgical skill, but also her commitment to the people around her — colleagues and patients alike. Dr. Coleman has been recognized as a Fort Worth Top Doctor consecutively from 2023 through 2025, an honor that speaks to the trust and confidence her patients and peers place in her care. Originally from Little Rock, Arkansas, Dr. Coleman brings a warm, grounded approach to everything she does. Outside the operating room, she loves exploring the world — whether she's scuba diving beneath the surface, hiking through national parks, capturing moments through her camera lens, or experimenting in the kitchen. These adventures keep her curious, energized, and deeply connected to the people she cares for every day.
