Dr. Macmurdo specializes in clinical genetics for children and adults at Baylor Scott & White McLane Children's Medical Center and Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple, TX. A native of Chattanooga, Tennessee, she attended Rhodes College, earning a B.S. in chemistry with a concentration in biochemistry. She then attended medical school at the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA. Dr. Macmurdo trained in pediatrics at UT COM Chattanooga and continued in fellowship in medical genetics at Stanford Hospital and clinics in California. Dr. Macmurdo joined the Baylor Scott and White team in 2015. For her clinical practice, she sees patients with suspected genetic disorders including the multidisciplinary clinics for Down syndrome and pediatric oncology. Dr. Macmurdo's areas of expertise include rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, inflammatory myositis, and vasculitis.
